What you should know about going to court
Cultural diversity
The Family Law Courts are committed to providing services that meet the needs of their culturally diverse clients. A National Cultural Diversity Committee oversees Court activities in this area.
With the implementation of the 2004 National Cultural Diversity Plan, the Courts have developed partnerships and relationships with other agencies, organisations and communities.
Each family law registry has its own local action plan to build partnerships with the local multicultural community and celebrate Harmony Day on 21 March each year.
For further information about the Court’s cultural diversity initiatives, go to ‘Website Links – The Family Court of Australia's National Cultural Diversity Plan’.
