Do I decide when I will see my parents?

Usually your mum and dad will decide what is best for you. If they can't decide, the judge is the one who makes the decisions. That way you don't have to worry about having to choose or hurt someone's feelings. But if you have strong feelings about the way things are in your family or about the plans your parents have for you, tell the counsellor (family consultant) so the judge will get to know.

The judge wants to know what is important to you but there are many, many things that the judge needs to think about before making decisions.
