Application for Consent Orders

This a mandatory form.*

If you have reached agreement and you want to formalise that agreement and make it binding, you can apply to the Court for Consent Orders.  You use this form to obtain consent orders about:

  • the care, welfare and development of your children (known as parenting orders);
  • the division of property or maintenance for a spouse/de facto spouse or former spouse/de facto spouse (known as spouse maintenance).

The form can also be used if you are applying for consent orders which vary or discharge existing Family Court orders.

Consent orders have the same legal effect as an order made after a Court hearing.

* For further information or to get paper copies of this document sent to you, call 1300 352 000, or visit a family law registry near you.
