Bond



This form of Bond has been prepared by the Court as a precedent for use when a court has ordered a person to enter into a Bond (also known as a recognizance) as a consequence of a contravention of a court order. (See sections 70NFB(2), 70NFE, 70NFG(6), 112AF, 112AE(5) the Family Law Act 1975). The person ordered to enter into a Bond signs this document.

Number of copies of the notice for filing, service and yourself
This document is ordinarily prepared by the Court making the order although the court may ask a party to provide a draft for its consideration. Once the Bond is prepared the person entering into the Bond will be required to sign it. The Court will retain the original signed Bond and a copy will be provided to the person bound by the order.
