Publication orders
Publication orders are issued under s.121 of the Family Law Act. The orders can be made on the request of a parent who is seeking public assistance to find their child.
They generally allow the media to report details and publish photographs that may help locate a missing child. Publication orders usually cease when a child is recovered.
You can apply for a publication order if you are applying for, or have applied for, a recovery order.
