Costs Notice Chapter 19 (prescribed brochure)

This brochure provides information about legal costs to which Chapter 19 of the Family Law Rules 2004 applies. It provides information about:

party and party costs – what a person entitled to costs may recover, and
disputing an account – the process

for fresh applications in the Family Court of Australia.

* This is a prescribed brochure. When certain applications are filed, the Rules require the Court to give specific brochures to the person filing the application (the applicant). The Rules also require the applicant to provide specific brochures, along with other court documents, to the other party (the respondent). These are known as 'prescribed' brochures.
